So little written, yet so powerful…..

This reminds me of when I made a case for gay marriage in my Ethics class and I used the fact that it wasn’t until the 1960s that the first interracial marriage between a black person and a white person was allowed, legally, and that it was a decision by the Supreme Court, when the Supreme Court should have never had anything to do with the marriage in the first place, as my central point.

Not to mention how marriage has evolved from dowries and arrangements meant as support and convenience to a covenant of mutual love. People tend to forget that marriage was not always about loving your partner, yet today that is what it’s socially supposed to be about. [;
